Date Night Dining in Chicago
First off, did you all love the date night throw back pics of Michael and I? Some of those are almost 5 years old and it makes me giggle looking at them. Awww the memories. Anyway, back to business. I got quite a few requests for Chicago places to eat and let me tell you, this is right up my alley. Micheal and I happen to have a side hobby of dining out. We love food. Good food. So I thought I’d share some of our favorite go to’s in Chicago! This is also a great way for me to dip my toe back into the writing world. Win win!
Luckily, living in the city, there are a billion and one options when it comes to dining out. However, we definitely have our favorites that we find ourselves returning to when we have the chance.
Since this is a blog post of dining options for ‘date night’ I tried to think of places that are slightly on the romantic side. Which basically just means dim lighting. However, good food is good food so go with whoever! Side note: I haven’t had dinner yet so just getting together my list of favorites has me currently starving and browsing post mates to see which of these places delivers.
I am a creature of habit so I usually get the same things at places so I’m sharing some of my favs from each place.
Our Top Ten Date Night Restaurants (in no particular order):
(Give me all the pastas)
(When you make reservations for this restaurant you pay for the entire meal in advance, FYI. Also, BEST fried chicken!)
(I could live the rest of my life enjoying the crispy brussel sprout salad and tiger shrimp tempura every single day)
(F.O.C.A.C.C.I.A + every pasta is all I will ever need. Also, if I haven’t exploded yet, the banana bread pudding is the perfect ending)
(It’s a splurge but the oyster pie is so unique and delicious! Just the tiniest little bit but worth it!)
(Kebabs with hot or cold mezze. Done and done.)
(Can’t beat this amazing risotto or the herb crusted lamb chops. Yuuuuum)
(Hands down my favorite dover sole. Also, never hurts to swing through the kids clothing section after a glass of wine.)
(Pobre and chaufa aeropuerto… Every. Single. Time)
(All the steaks are amazing but this is my all time favorite because it’s where Michael proposed :)))))
Alright theres my list! Hope you all get a chance to check some of them out! Long live the date night.
