Swissotel Chicago Staycation
A couple weeks back the family and I were gifted an amazing opportunity for a staycation at Swissotel Chicago! If you are not familiar with the hotel it is an award-winning luxury hotel conveniently located in the heart of the city, allowing visitors to confidently explore the best Chicago has to offer. It is just steps away from Michigan Ave and right on the river. Talk about amazing views! Besides their oversized luxury rooms and suites they also offer an amazing fitness center, a full range of amenities and fantastic dining options within the hotel.
The best part of our stay? We were fortunate enough to stay in the Kids Suite! Thats right, a whole suite designed with kids in mind. There were games galore, books, fun snacks, and a tent that kept Grey busy and entertained. The suite is nice and roomy with an amazing corner view. We loved watching the boats go out on the lake …and by we I mean Grey.
Once we were settled we headed down to The Palm restaurant for dinner. Since it was a blizzard outside, thanks Chicago, it was so nice to not have to go outside at all. We just took the elevator down to the lobby and were seated immediately. Oh my goodness… the food! Every single item we ordered was delicious included the two desserts I decided to take back up to the room. Pregnant lady has to eat right? We are huge seafood people so if you are as well may I strongly recommend the baked clams and then the lobster. Absolutely delicious!
With the holidays coming up I would say invest in doing something with your kiddos! A staycation is something that they’ll love, especially in the kids suite! Even if you are looking for a night out without the kids they have gorgeous suites without all the toys. Do a fun night downtown with your significant other. Treat yourselves! Tis the season. =)
